Who we are

Sonnet Sound StudioDecisions you can hear.

The Sonnet Sound Studio mark on the studio's red wall

Sonnet Sound Studio is a music production studio built for artists who want to develop their music with the calm of being accompanied by people committed to every detail of the process.

We work to give each artist's sound its final shape, bringing it to a professional standard without sacrificing what makes it theirs. We do not only offer recording, mixing or mastering; we accompany musicians and producers in building work that is honest, memorable and able to outlast the moment.

We believe music production is far more than a technical process. It is a space of creative decisions, where every choice should answer to a musical intention. So we work to keep the technology, the craft and the judgement always in service of the work.

Every project is different

We are not looking to impose an aesthetic, or to make every production answer to the same formula.

We listen to the artist's intention, we understand their music, and we make the decisions needed to strengthen whatever makes it its own.

Ourpurpose

To create a space where artists and producers can develop their music with freedom, confidence and excellence, reaching a professional standard without giving up their identity.

Because a production can be technically well made and still say nothing at all.

At Sonnet we want the craft to serve the music saying exactly what it has to say.

Behind every decision.

Santiago Blanco

Musician, producer and sound engineer. His training combines technical knowledge with a deep artistic sensibility, on the understanding that technology only makes sense once it is in service of the music. He graduated with honours from Universidad Icesi in Music with an Emphasis in Music Production, and holds Avid's official Pro Tools certifications: Specialist, Professional, and mixing for Dolby Atmos.

He has worked on many projects as a recording, mixing and mastering engineer, and has studied architectural acoustics for the design, prediction and calculation of professional studios. Santiago brings real care to his work, and puts his knowledge at the service of the art — so the result answers to the aesthetic, the projection and the identity of each artist.
